To protect public health by ensuring food is safe and fit to eat by monitoring local authorities' performance in increasing compliance in food establishments with food law. <br>This is a proxy indicator which measures effectiveness of local authority food safety interventions on food safety compliance as opposed to measuring inputs such as inspections.
