Pollution 18/33 = 55% Noise 45/57 = 79% F and V 3/3 =100% Dog work 17/21 = 81% TOTAL = 77% Backlog may be attributed to failure of officers to close down cases when on leave and longevity of cases received over Summer - are the dates applied for closing down noise and pollution cases reasonable given that the 80% target of completion within 40 and 45 respectively days is mostly not met for these two areas. From week commencing 6th October officers to be issued a list of personal unclosed cases on a weekly basis. Approximately 75% of backlog of open cases have now been closed. Anticipate this will be over 90% by end of October. This should lead to better case management. Process of introducing templates in early November should underpin this improvement. Aim to exceed rolling average target of 80% by end of year |
