Service Delivery Plans

The Council has agreed that each Service Unit will produce a Service Delivery Plan (SDP).  The prime reasons for having SDP's are to provide a:

(i)   consistent format for the planning and delivery of services;

(ii)  manageable framework within which the Council will be able to demonstrate and manage performance;

(iii) prioritise programme, clearly showing what business the Council is in and what is being achieved;

(iv) framework demonstrating how Council Services contribute to key strategic initiatives, such as the Corporate Plan and Community Plan; and a

(v) framework demonstrating Best Value and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Servive Standards

This council is working hard to deliver high quality,value for money services to local residents.We are currently monitoring what we do and seeking ways of improving services.One way is through our Service Standards.Our standards for customer contact(see link below) show that we are committed to delivering high standards of customer care across all services.

Each service unit of the Council also has a set of Service Standards clearly stating the minimum level of services residents can expect.

Our aim is to meet each standard and,where we can,surpass it.
