Councillor Marcus Jones is the Portfolio Holder for Finance & Civic Affairs.The portfolio holder for Finance and Civic Affairs is the Leader of the Council and also chairs the Cabinet.This portfolio holder monitors the Council's financial position including responsibility for strategic policy, budgetary and financial control of the Council, mayoralty and civic hospitality, town twinning, town centres management and community safety and crime prevention. He/she also ensures the efficiency, effectiveness and economy in relation to the services within his/her terms of reference, including monitoring budgets, service development plans, best value and establishment change.
