Councillor Des O'Brien is the Portfolio Holder for Culture and Recreation

The portfolio holder for Culture and Recreation is responsible for enhancing opportunities for sports, leisure and recreational activities at an affordable price, maintaining leisure, sports recreational, arts and cultural facilities within the borough, maintaining a Passport to Leisure scheme and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness and economy in relation to the services within his/her terms of reference, including monitoring budgets, service development plans, best value and establishment change.
