The Council has agreed that each Service Unit will produce a Business Plan. The prime reasons for having Business Plans are to provide a:
(i) consistent format for the planning and delivery of services;
(ii) manageable framework within which the Council will be able to demonstrate and manage performance;
(iii) list of priorities, clearly showing what business the Council manages and what is being achieved;
(iv) framework demonstrating how Council Services contribute to key strategic initiatives, such as the Corporate Plan and Community Plan; and a
(v) framework demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
